Rainsville Community Church – March, 2005

The Group of believers now known as the Rainsville Community Church assembled for their first worship service on October 18, 1998.  This first service was the result of much prayer being offered by several different people.  Pastor Cates Noles started in ministry in 1989, evangelizing at first and then serving as a Pastor for three years.  Upon leaving pastoral work in 1994 and returning to evangelism, the Lord began to impress Pastor Noles to establish a new work.  In 1997 & 1998, several different people were used by God to confirm what was in the heart of the future Pastor.  Plans came together to take the first steps in starting the new church in the old Rainsville Funeral Home building.  The grace and blessings of God made a vision to become reality and the first service was held on October 18, 1998 with an attendance of 36 people.  The official organization was conducted on November 15, 1998. The charter members consisted of 32 brothers and sisters from several different backgrounds to form a “Community” church.  RCC operates as an independent organization with goals to reach the lost for their salvation and to help the hurting and needy.  It is the aim of this church to be a place where anyone can feel like they are a part, regardless of their background, no matter what their previous church affiliation may or may not have been.  In 2001 and 2002, plans were made for the new facilities to accommodate for growth.  On March 6, 2005 the first service was held in a new 11,375 square foot building capable of seating approximately 400.
